Guy William Klepsteen

Guy William Klepsteen, age 86, of Eldridge, IA, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Clarrisa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA with family by his side.

Guy was born December 15, 1939, in Chicago Proper, IL, the son of Harry and Margaret (Riddell) Klepsteen. On July 7, 1962, he married Nancy Lou Brod in Skokie, IL. Guy was a policeman in Wheeling, Illinois for a few years and worked as a supervisor for Oscar Meyer in Davenport, Iowa. He became fully involved in whatever interested him. After moving to Davenport, he developed a passion for showing horses, building a dark room for photography and creating a large HO train layout in his basement. In later years, Guy and his wife Nancy moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where they continued their love of fishing, camping and travel. They returned to Iowa and settled in Eldridge, where Guy took care of his wife until her passing. He again rekindled his love of fishing and, most recently, built a train diorama in his garage with help from his daughters. Guy was quite a character and known for the stories he would tell.

Survivors include his three children, Randall W. (Karen) Klepsteen, Glenn K. (Donette) Klepsteen and Alison L. Holtz. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Guy was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Klepsteen; his daughter, Luanne Hoxie; four grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy and Barb and a brother, Harry.

Services for Guy will be determined at a later date.
