Walter Eugene Hyde, 80, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his home in Marion, Iowa. Walt was born on May 20, 1945, in Waterloo, Iowa. He served in the United States Military (Army) for 5 years. Walt loved his bikes. He resided in Washburn, Iowa until retiring from John Deere.
Walt then relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to enjoy warmer weather and a more relaxing pace. In 2017, he returned to his home state and settled in Marion, Iowa where he lived until joining Our Heavenly Father.
Walt is survived by his three children, James "TJ" (Diane) Hyde, Lisa (Gary) Urell, and Lorie River, as well as many grandchildren.
A private Celebration of Life with Military Salute will be held on September 5, 2025.
