Harlan Miller

Harlan Miller, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Grinnell, Iowa on May 25, 2025 with Cheryl, his wife of 47 years by his side.

Born on May 7, 1954 in Sigourney, Iowa, he was known by his friends and family as "Monkey". He enjoyed collecting a variety of old and unusual objects that told stories of the past. Most of all, he loved spending time in the country searching for Indian artifacts.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Miller, and his sisters, Shery Ladley and Lori Wolsky, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his daughter, Anna Pinkerton, and his granddaughter, Jocelyn Pinkerton. He was always very proud of them and cherished the joy they brought into his life.

Harlan was preceded in death by his: grandmother, Martha Anderson; father, Willard "Smokey" Miller, Sr.; mother, Mildred "Millie" Miller; brothers, Alan Miller and Willard
"Smokey" Miller, Jr.; and sister, Linda McGinity.

Harlan chose to keep his farewell simple, so in accordance with his wishes, no funeral will be held.

May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
